about

"Whistling River" are Noam Calderon and Omer Gal - two childhood friends from a small rural area south of Tel Aviv called Gderot.

What started off as two friends having a barbecue on the noon of the 2013 Israeli Independence day, spontaneously led into an extended jam session which eventually developed into the songs heard on this album. Friends and guest musicians were invited along the way to contribute to the final recordings.
